Do you ever meet people who, despite not being from around the area, instantly adopt the accents, dialects and culture of the environment they're in? Human cuttlefish. Chameleons. These people are hominid prey.
Sure, predators blend into nature too, but the do this with conscious effort. A lioness may blend into the savanna, stalking its prey slowly to hide - but they are choosing to do this. Does the Lion care at all about being hunted when it's relaxing? No, because it knows it can maul the shit out of whatever comes its way.
However, the prey, the small animals, the designated food and game of greater animals - they unconsciously must blend in to avoid harm and hide from risk. People who easily adopt and naturally blend into new cultures and dialects are really saying "Hey, I'm trying to hide, I'm scared of you eating me". If an Australian comes to England and speaks his loud Australian dialect, I know that is someone who is not worried about being hunted. But if he should open his mouth and speak in a subtle, toned down voice of meek despair, I get this compulsion to maul him to death and eat his flesh.
Culture falls of me like rain on an oily man, for I am culturally oily. I am not weak minded, prone to soaking up the voice of my enemy like a rag thrown in a puddle. While you don a mask of a society you don't belong to, so easily and naturally as to hide your own face behind it, you show me that your natural face was nothing more than a façade to begin with.
You are without personality, structure, order, might, momentum - nothing but a leaf blowing in the wind whatever and whichever way the breeze should so blow you. But me? I never get blown.
